Terrain: Rolling Hills with 2 climbs (2361' elevation gain)

Distance: 30 Miles

Approx. Time: 2-3 hours

Ride Description:

This ride heads out to Cashmere on the north side of the highway, comes into town at Applets Way. Turns on Pioneer and heads out to Hinman road. We take the normal back road route back to the highway and take the trail/shoulder to Old Monitor Road. The route heads past Anjou Bakery on Pioneer Way and turn right up the hill to Ayers Rd around and then a right on Fairview Canyon for a small climb, out and back. On the way down the hill, take a right on Richared Road and follow it around (it turns into Sleepy Hollow Rd) until we get to Olds Station at Penny Road. Turn around and take a reverse route back to Monitor and the Hot Rod Cafe. This is a no-drop ride. No rider will be left behind.

We offer weekly rides on Saturdays that typically start at Wenatchee Valley Brewing Company, led by members of the Velo club. Because we are acting as ride leaders, we HAVE to insist that people sign the wavier, and become members! Completion of membership includes the applicable ride waiver.

Wenatchee Valley Velo supports a multitude of cycling programs and events in the local area. The annual dues from membership along with proceeds from cycling events assist us in promoting safe cycling in our area. Member appreciation events are held throughout the year and are free with your paid membership.
