The Wenatchee Valley Velo Club is a Wenatchee based cycling group; road cycling and mountain biking. Our goal is to promote safe cycling and social club rides. We are active year around to help those who wish to stay fit for cycling during the off season. Our events – Tour de Bloom, Saturday club rides, Yeti Ride, Ride of Silence, and Fall Classic are just some of the fun rides we do. We support our community and businesses around the Wenatchee Valley. We are members of the Washington State Bike Alliance.
Our new website is under construction and coming soon!
The Tour de Bloom omnium is a two-day cycling event held the first weekend of May each year during Wenatchee's famous Apple Blossom Festival. Organized by the Wenatchee Valley Velo Club, it features a mass start uphill time trial from Squilchuck State Park to the Mission Ridge Ski Area, a criterium in historic downtown Wenatchee, and a road race on the Waterville Plateau in adjacent Douglas County. The event is USA Cycling-certified.
The Yeti Ride is hosted by the Wenatchee Valley Velo Club and held on New Year's Day each year. The route will be determined the day of around the weather and is led by club members. If it's chilly out, don your ski coats and gloves! And if you don't, there will be plenty of Yeti juice to pass around to keep you warm! Post-ride festivities also await! The ride fee is $15, or free if you join Wenatchee Valley Velo that day.
